Surin Beach Phuket the Beach, Restaurants and Shopping

Surin Beach offers a bit of something for everyone.

One you get down to the beach road there are lots of restaurants and shops along the road - and further down the road as you head towards the entrance to the Chedi and Amanpuri - more restaurants, shops, art galleries and clothing boutiques. 

This page is primarily about that area.  The Surin Beach page covers the beach area and the Apartment Area page covers the area along Srisoonthorn Road (the main road) highway 4025.

At the junction of the main road and two beach roads (one goes straight out to the beach and the other follows the coastline around to BangTao Beach), you'll find a police box with several ATMs along the side of the building [photo below left].

Parked in front of that same building are several tuk-tuks that are always ready to take you about the island or down to Patong Beach for some late night fun.  If you walk along the coastal road there are also taxis in front of the major resorts.

Walk down to the beach - only about 100 meters from this corner and you'll find a gourmand's delight!  Over 25 restaurants right on the sandy beach. 

Walk along the coastal road that heads to BangTao Beach and you'll see plenty of good restaurants, shops, boutiques and bars.

 Two great places to eat as you wander down the road - Surin Bay Inn even has great Aussie Pies and one of the best Western breakfasts on the island.  Lemongrass - EXCELLENT Thai food.
